GB3IR

The GB3IR repeater is situated in Richmond, North Yorkshire and has been on the air since the middle of 2003. Since that time, the repeater has become more widely used by both local and international hams thanks to its geographic location and dual internet link.

One of the main reasons for it's growth in the region is due to its internet linking capabilities; it is connected to both the Echolink and IRLP systems which allow global contacts to be made with ease. Chris, G4FZN, is the repeater keeper and attends most of the regional rallies.
